In an interview, Mahira Khan reveals how she handles all this. She said:
“I don’t believe it. i feel everybody has kind of coming to a realization about me that we are saying anything about Mahira and she or he won’t reply. Sometimes i feel its an honest thing but sometimes i actually want to reply and since of that everyone believes that its okay to mention things about me whether it’s about me getting a gift , about my acting etc.”

“I haven't taken pot shots with anybody I don’t even do this during a personal capacity, I don’t even do this during a private setting, that’s rule favorite even in my vanity or on my set. Sometimes i feel what if I say everything at some point , every truth then truth won’t be nice,” she added.

Sharing about her achievements she said, “Last year when there have been huge hue and cry about winning a gift i used to be so disheartened albeit my fans who are like my backbone. I went into the Lux office and that i said show me the audit they get from Price water house. are you able to imagine all that? Even before this, I wont to be like ‘are you sure about this’? ‘can you provides it to someone else?'”

“Due to all or any this, I ended up not posting my award during a photograph to thank my fans. I never thanked my fans I just hid, I withdrew. I had to travel for a few awards outside Pakistan and that i said ‘sorry I can’t come’. a couple of months later i noticed what am I doing? this is often ridiculous,” Khan added.

In the end, Mahira Khan said, “All of this criticism is ground noise from me. i think I even have to be a much bigger person. I even have slipped within the past and that i might slip again. It’s a part of the journey.”
